The road to Maestro Espada's debut album is completed today, July 12, with the release of "La despedía," the fifth and final advance single from a work that will be named after the Murcian duo themselves, positioning them as one of the most exciting names in new Spanish folklore. The new track coincides with the opening of both physical and digital pre-orders for the album, which will debut in the fall of 2024.

Unfolding lights and shadows in this set of contrasts, Maestro Espada will take their new show this summer to concert halls and festivals across the Iberian Peninsula, including this Friday at Cruïlla in Barcelona. Moving towards the release of their first album, which will be edited on vinyl with exquisite artwork by Albert Romagosa, the duo presents a world of castanets and distortion, lutes and analog synthesizers, fragility and brutality, intensity and hedonism. But above all, of popular music and experimentation, following their musical intuition while revisiting one of Spain's most overlooked folk traditions.
