Rex Orange County announces the release of his new album The Alexander Technique on September 6 via RCA Records. The album was produced entirely by Rex himself alongside Teo Halm (Rosalía, SZA, Beyoncé) and Jim Reed, the latter a member of Rex Orange County’s touring band since its inception, as well as James Blake, who produced and features on “Look Me In The Eyes.”

The Alexander Technique is named after a therapeutic practice for back pain that addresses deeper health issues, and it's a fitting name for Rex's rawest album to date: what may have started as a simple exercise to change the scope of his writing ended up becoming his most confessional and open album. Stripping his sound to a skeletal blend of R&B and indie-folk, but retaining the orchestral exuberance that has become his trademark, The Alexander Technique marks the beginning of Rex Orange County's second act: a new chapter where he lays everything bare, no matter how painful.
