'Suau', Maio's new album

Maio Serrasolsas gives us a second album of beautiful melodies where love, friendship, sincere bonds and collective empowerment are the creative cornerstone.

'Suau' contains 10 new pearls of electronic pop song with space for slow reggaeton, electronic punk and quarter-note bass drums.

The tour to present the new album took Maio to Barcelona, ​​Girona, Granada, Seville, Köln (DE), Alboraia, Bilbao, Madrid and Lleida during October and November 2023.

Maio Serrasolsas was born on May 1st in the late 90s in Sant Andreu del Palomar, Barcelona. Being born on Working Women's Day and having grown up in a neighborhood that was as combative as it was cheerful could not be a coincidence. Maio and her twin sister Júlia Serrasolsas (GINESTÀ) have grown up together with Akelarre, that viral "we are not friends, we eat each other's pussy" project. However, it is not until 2021 that Maio publishes his first album 'Des dels marges' with a proposal of diverse musical genres that range from songs to punk, electronica, tropicalism or reggaeton.

In the fall of 2023 he presented 'Suau', his second album, a new collection of 10 new pearls of electronic pop songs where love, friendship, sincere bonds and collective (not individualistic) empowerment are once again the creative cornerstone . In 'Suau', Maio's voice and his innate ability to build beautiful melodies once again flies over all the pieces, produced again by Xicu and Mario Patiño and his personal touches full of electronics and synthetic details with a tracklist that gives musical space between the prevailing half-times of bass drums, electronic punk, reggaeton or the sound cushions for the rap of the only collaboration on the album, the Tribade MCs. The new album rediscovers us a very young artist who takes care of everything, an artist who incorporates into the task of making songs the voice of a new generation with the LGTBI universe as a transversal tool to transform an unequal society that must be changed. Because living is often paddling against with your hands and from the margins, but doing it softly and committed is one of the best ways to walk life.
