Jayme Marques (b. Campo Grande, Brazil, June 12, 1936) is a Brazilian guitarist, singer, arranger, and composer, known for introducing Brazilian music, specifically Bossa Nova, to Europe in the 1960s via Spain and later England, as well as to Asia via Japan (Copacabana Club, Akasaka, Tokyo) as the director of the Orfeu Negro Orchestra (1963/64).
With Stop (1978), he solidified his place in the music scene of the time.
