Bridges and Cathedrals are constructions invented by humans to connect the unattainable. The physical in the case of the former and the spiritual when it comes to temples. Bridges operate horizontally, overcoming geographical obstacles, linking people and societies. The latter belong to the vertical scale, defying the laws of gravity and the distance between heaven and earth, faith and doubt. Both are built with stones over years, if not decades, both lost many people who tried to build them, and both, once finished, survive over centuries. They are doors that connect us not only in space but also in time, where the most important thing is not who built them but who will choose to cross them.
