One of music's great creators, André "3000" Benjamin, releases his first solo album, New Blue Sun. Co-produced by Benjamin and acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño, and featuring Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthewdavid, V.C.R, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd, New Blue Sun is an entirely instrumental album focused on woodwinds; a celebratory piece in the form of a living auditory organism.

André's intention is for you to slow down, settle, and find stillness. To allow the music to unfold. To observe where the air takes you. Influenced by Laraaji, Brian Eno, Alice Coltrane, Steve Reich, and Pharoah Sanders, New Blue Sun imagines a vast world of exploration. The album features a core of today's finest healing music performers: Carlos Niño on bells, chimes, cymbals, drums, gongs, and percussion; Nate Mercereau on guitar, synthesizers, and sampling; and Surya Botofasina on keyboards and synthesizers. André plays various wind instruments on this album, including a digital wind instrument, a Mayan flute, and other wooden and bamboo instruments.
