Neon Pill is the highly anticipated new album from Cage The Elephant, and the group's first release since their 2019 GRAMMY Award-winning Best Rock Album, Social Cues. Cage The Elephant consists of brothers Matt Shultz (vocals) and Brad Shultz (rhythm guitar) along with Daniel Tichenor (bass), Jared Champion (drums), Nick Bockrath (lead guitar), and Matthan Minster (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals).

Neon Pill, produced by John Hill, materialized during sessions at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Electric Lady in New York, Sound Emporium in Nashville, Echo Mountain in North Carolina, and Hill's own studio in Los Angeles, capturing a season of tragedy and turbulence across its twelve tracks. Within nine months of the pandemic, Matthew and Brad lost their father. The band suffered the consecutive deaths of several friends, while Matthew experienced depression and a mental breakdown that culminated in his hospitalization. Emerging from the crisis, he learned much about himself and gained significant strength and wisdom. Neon Pill was born in the eye of the storm.
