XXIM Records is pleased to announce a new album from award-winning Italian pianist and composer OLIVIA BELLI along with the release of 'Valadier', the first track taken from it, and an accompanying video. On his second album for the label, Intermundia, BELLI goes beyond his deep connection with the natural world to explore the spiritual side of nature, something beyond the physical: the world of thin spaces.

These places, said to be the point where heaven and earth virtually meet, are places to calm and sedate, or to seduce and enchant, places to glimpse the transcendent. "Here, you free yourself from everything non-essential, from everything in the modern world," explains BELLI. "There is only you and your soul." These places have long been part of his life and his own spiritual journey, and for Intermundia BELLI chose eight places, all of them in central Italy, very close to his home in Le Marche, and each represented by a issue.
Written in her home studio, each track was born from a state of mind. A feeling. Inspired by field recordings that BELLI made in each of the places, he put into music the unique magic that is felt in each place, that otherworldly quality that goes beyond time or the purely physical. In other words, he tried to channel the spiritual essence of places, to give it voice. This becomes clearer in "Valadier", the first track taken from Intermundia and a wonderfully calm and melancholic work that conveys the same hope and sense of absolution found in the Tempio di Valadier, a sanctuary located at the entrance to the caves of Frasassi, in the province of Ancona, in Marche.
