Xavi Sarrià recorded 7 albums as singer and leader of the legendary Valencian band Obrint Pas, with whom he toured incessantly around the world for 20 years and became a musical and social phenomenon at the turn of the century by making it popular and hegemonic, from self-management and independence, a musical discourse based on the incorporation of traditional Valencian music to rock, reggae and ska and inspiring, in turn, thousands of young people with their songs of anti-fascist commitment in Valencia. In 2017 and after the dissolution of Obrint Pas, Sarrià returned to the musical arena with his first self-titled solo album, 'Amb l'esperança entre les dents'. In 2022 he presents his new album 'Causa', a collection of hits with which he demonstrates his exceptional state of form, his innate ability to write round songs that become anthems, again at the front of a powerful electric band with which It combines organic and synthetic textures to amalgamate its formula in the 21st century: echoes of the Mediterranean and Valencian tradition mixed with rock, ska and reggae at the service of committed lyrics that continue to be a beacon of commitment in dark times like the ones we have had to return to. transit.
