To speak of Alberto Iglesias is to speak of one of the most relevant figures in our culture, whose artistic and emotional impact has made him a global reference in composition. His name is almost inseparably linked to cinema thanks to his outstanding work with Almodóvar, forming one of the most interesting and fruitful creative duos in the seventh art, and to the memorable soundtracks he has created for films by great filmmakers such as Julio Medem, Carlos Saura, Tomas Alfredson, Fernando Meilleres, Steven Soderberg, Santiago Mitre, Dominik Moll, and John Malkovich, among others.

Respected by both critics and audiences, Alberto Iglesias has been recognized with 11 Goya Awards from the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, the National Film Award, the Cannes Award Soundtrack, as well as the World Soundtrack Award, the Feroz Award, and the Platino Award on several occasions. He has been nominated for BAFTA and Golden Globe awards and has been a four-time Oscar nominee.

This time, Alberto Iglesias returns with his own project, unlinked from both cinema and the work of other artists. “Phantom Songs” and “Asalto al castillo” are his new creations and his first two solo albums since he released “Cautiva” in 1990. These two works are different from each other but share a common thread in their connection to poetry and literature, reflecting the eclectic and evocative style that has made the composer from San Sebastián one of the most respected and admired names in contemporary music.
