With Senka and Julio on vocals and Adri on bass, all formerly of La Raíz, Nativa presents the 11 songs from their new and eagerly awaited album.
The album features collaborations with Lágrimas de Sangre, Sharif, and JazzWoman and offers a new collection of tracks with a strong electronic presence and a festive yet protest-driven spirit.
Nativa will present their new album on a tour that will take them to venues in April and May in
Valencia, Ponferrada, Vigo, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid, Soria, Baeza, Granada,
Murcia, and Marinaleda, and to Rototom in August.
Slowly but surely. From the ashes of La Raíz, vocalists Julio and Sen-k, and the band's bassist, Adri Faus, formed Nativa in 2019 and released their self-titled debut album that same autumn. A pandemic later, with an acoustic EP under their belts and a 2022 filled with thousands of miles of touring and dozens upon dozens of live shows, Nativa returns to the music scene with new material. Last autumn, they broke through with “¡Huye!”, the first single from their new album, which opened the door to a new sonic dimension with a much more prominent electronic presence, and which has been preceded by “Uns Agem” and “Cuando tú bailas,” the last two singles that follow the band's festive and protest-driven star. Nativa's second album, ‘Aquí y ahora,’ offers a total of 11 new gems where the Valencian band's formula is based on the coexistence of electronic and organic sounds to create festive anthems over which
Senka and Julio unleash rhymes and more introspective and personal poetry than we are used to, in Spanish and Portuguese interchangeably, and never forgetting the band's signature touch of protest always present in their lyrics.
