You can now pre-order 'ESTOPÍA' on SMFSTORE, the new Estopa album with which the Muñoz family celebrate the 25th anniversary of their career. The album, made up of twelve unreleased songs, will go on sale next March 15 and from today it can be pre-ordered in different physical formats. This new album is a return to the origins of the band that conquered our country 25 years ago: a sound that carries rumba as its flag, but that also plays with other genres, such as rock, rap or ranchera. All this with lyrics that are always poetic, always direct, always authentic, always Estopa.
To accompany this release, Estopa presents a new song and invites us to the 'La Ranchera ' party. Once again, the Muñozes tell the story of “any given night” and they do so, as in all great stories, in the first person. With a tremendously catchy chorus, the song shows the most scoundrel side of the band, which tells of their adventures through the streets of Barcelona. This is the first video clip directed by David and Jose Muñoz and, for sure, it will not be the last . The video shows the chronology of a night of partying. A night that begins with a taxi ride and ends in the best way: celebrating with friends and singing a melody that, for sure, will be sung a lot in the coming weeks. Precisely, a few days ago the Muñoz family lit up social networks by publishing a fragment of the party they experienced during the recording.
'ESTOPÍA' invites us to travel to the universe of Estopa, who celebrates his 25-year career with an album that collects the iconography of all his imagery , created during all these years and which well deserves detailed recognition. Proof of this is the cover of this new album, created by David Salvador: a clear tribute to 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' by Hieronymus Bosch . In the same way that Hieronymus Hieronymus captured his work, the art of this album is created as a triptych. In it, Estopa presents his own interpretation of the fate of the humanity, with sin as a link between the different scenes. In the work we can see, from heaven to hell, multiple pictorial representations that symbolize the DNA of the band. The chaos of that universe that has always accompanied Estopa, composed of its multiple iconic elements, in a work that could well be exhibited in a museum.
A real gift for the band's fans, who will be able to enjoy a poster of this magnificent cover and an amazing sticker to put on your car, laptop, cell phone or wherever you can think of, if you reserve the CD or LP pre-sale format. A nod from Estopa, who recently received the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts from the Ministry of Culture. His commitment to culture continues. In fact, Estopa will participate tomorrow in the 38th edition of the Goya Awards with a very special performance.
This is the third song that we know from this new album, after the publication of ' El día que tú te marches' , whose video clip, shot with 3D scanning and volumetric filming techniques, combines their most powerful iconography with that realism that characterizes them; and ' La Rumba del Pescaílla' , the band's first song sung in Catalan, which is a tribute to the figure of Antonio González 'El Pescaílla'.
Estopa's '25 ANNIVERSARY' tour will begin next April in various parts of America and will land in Spain in May . It is evident that the band's followers are looking forward to sharing this anniversary with Estopa, since ticket sales have shattered all records. Tickets for the concerts in Madrid (Cívitas Metropolitano) and Barcelona (Estadi Olímpic) were sold out in a few hours, as happened in places like Valencia (Ciutat de les Arts) or Bilbao (Bizkai Arena) or Seville (Estadio Olímpic).
