Vetusta Morla today, March 21st, releases two new singles: Puentes y Catedrales, following the release of La Sábana de mis Fantasmas, published on December 22nd. The three songs will be part of the band's new album, their seventh studio album.
Both songs are available in an exclusive 7” format at SMFSTORE.
Puentes y Catedrales is a double single in which Vetusta Morla offers two different and complementary sides of their music.
The compositional solidity, the vocal part, and the melodic depth of Catedrales, on par with the band's best classics, are superimposed on the experimentation with electronic music and tribal percussion of Puentes, with its distinctly pop-oriented chorus.
United by the semantics of architecture, their lyrics reveal mechanisms of human relationships, Catedrales from the importance of small gestures in the final minutes of a relationship about to end, and Puentes from the incomparable moment of encounter that opens our internal fortification to the outside.
