This Friday, November 18, 'Thriller' is reissued.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the best-selling album in the history of music, Michael Jackson's work is reissued in various formats with 10 unreleased songs.

Forty years after the release of 'Thriller', the best-selling album in music history that catapulted Michael Jackson into the pop stratosphere, a special edition is released in three spectacular formats. 'Thriller 40' comes out this coming Friday, November 18 on vinyl with new alternative cover, double CD with 10 unreleased songs and digital with 10 unreleased songs and 15 remixes. In addition to being the best-selling album of all time, with more than one hundred million copies sold (first triple diamond in the history of the American RIAA) and winning 17 Grammys (8 in one year) and 26 American Music Awards, among many others, 'Thriller' transformed pop music from its soul and funk roots. 'Thriller' transcended genres and styles to revolutionize not only the mainstream and the history of 20th century music, but the musical, cultural and entertainment industries themselves. This work changed the standards of video, scenography and choreography in popular music forever, thanks to its innovations to merge sound with visual art. Its influence reaches our days and is explicitly palpable in our current audiovisual culture.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary and in line with the launch, various celebrations are taking place free for the public, such as art exhibitions with immersive experiences in the 'Thriller' universe (in Dusseldorf and New York), multiple fan parties and eight exclusive screenings of the new documentary 'Thriller 40' in eight cities around the world, including Madrid. The film, which deals in depth with how the best-selling album in history was created and recorded and its impact to this day, will take place on the same day it was originally published in 1982.
