Tate McRae releases her highly anticipated third album So Close To What. This album represents life's insurmountable moments, where the road ahead can sometimes feel endless and the destination nonexistent. It is an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and nostalgia.
The album and its songs navigate the raw emotions of healing from a broken heart and the doubts that arise when falling in love again, the beautiful and sometimes harsh realities of what it means to be a woman, and embracing newfound confidence. Wrapped in irresistible pop production and unfiltered lyricism, So Close To What was written and produced with hitmakers Ryan Tedder, Grant Boutin, Amy Allen, and Julia Michaels, among others. The album is available on CD, vinyl, translucent orange vinyl, and digital. Get it here.
Additionally, Tate is releasing the official video for her new song ‘Revolving Door’ today, directed by Aerin Moreno (Tyla, Tinashe) and choreographed by Robbie Blue (Charli XCX, Doechii). The video shows Tate trapped in this confined space, continuously dancing and unable to exit through any door.
Tate McRae has accumulated over 11.6 billion career streams and has received numerous accolades and nominations, including the MTV VMAs. Tate’s 2020 single ‘you broke me first’ is RIAA certified four times platinum and has amassed over 2.3 billion streams since its release. Tate has collaborated with major artists such as Troye Sivan, Khalid, and Tiësto, among others. Last year, she released her second album THINK LATER, which catapulted Tate to pop stardom. Infused with pop appeal and infectious melodies, the album included her single ‘greedy,’ which earned her the #1 spot on the Billboard Global 200, Global Excl. US, and Spotify Global charts.
