Skye Newman releases SE9 Part 2
Skye Newman lanza SE9 Part 2

British artist Skye Newman will release SE9 Part 2 tomorrow, the highly anticipated second chapter of her autobiographical project, along with the new focus single 'Man of the House'. Named after the South London postcode where she grew up, this new work delves deeper into the personal world the artist introduced in SE9 Part 1, solidifying her position as one of the most relevant emerging voices in the current British music scene.

Across eight songs, SE9 Part 2 explores themes such as inherited trauma, identity, relationships, femininity, and self-worth, with the direct honesty that defines Skye's artistic project. The release follows the singles 'Walk' and 'Woman I Am', which hinted at this emotional evolution, and notably features 'Man of the House', one of her most introspective songs to date, focusing on emotional responsibility and roles associated with masculinity. The project was co-written with regular collaborators like Boo and Luis Navidad, among others, and reaffirms her commitment to a deeply personal narrative based on real experiences.

Following the success of SE9 Part 1, Skye Newman has experienced a meteoric rise, accumulating over 260 million global streams and achieving milestones such as winning the BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2026, as well as receiving nominations for the BRIT Awards, MOBO Awards, and Ivor Novello. Her singles 'Family Matters' and 'Hairdresser' marked a before and after in her career, reaching the UK Top 20 and consolidating her commercial impact. Live, her The Woman I Am Tour sold out in minutes, and this winter she will embark on The Survival Tour, including several sold-out dates at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. With SE9 Part 2, Skye Newman takes a firm step in her artistic evolution, positioning herself as a generational voice with an authentic and relevant discourse.
