Pink Floyd publica ‘8-Tracks’: El nuevo recopilatorio con 8 temas clásicos creados entre 1971–1979

8-Tracks is the new Pink Floyd compilation featuring eight essential classic tracks from the period between 1971 and 1979. It will be released on June 5th on blue vinyl, black vinyl, CD and digital; all available for pre-order now.

8-Tracks contains recognizable tracks such as "Money," "Wish You Were Here," "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2," "Time," and "Comfortably Numb," along with earlier tracks like "One Of These Days" and "Wot’s… Uh The Deal," as well as an exclusive full version of "Pigs On The Wing," previously available on the 1977 8-track cartridge release of Animals.

8-Tracks captures Pink Floyd's transition into their most successful era, which catapulted them to stardom throughout the 1970s. The eight-year period celebrated by this edition covers tracks from some of the band's most acclaimed albums: Meddle (1971), Obscured by Clouds (1972), The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), and The Wall (1979). Six monumental albums and classics in their own right. Together, this is a work that shows Pink Floyd moving away from the Syd Barrett psychedelic pop era and their post-experimental output, and solidifying their global status as one of the greatest rock bands of all time. The track sequence has been edited by Steven Wilson using sound effects extracted from the original multitracks to create a continuous listening experience, in classic Pink Floyd style.

A starting point for new listeners to discover the depth and breadth of Pink Floyd's unparalleled discography, as well as a carefully curated collection for long-time fans to appreciate.
