PINK FLOYD lanza un nuevo adelanto de Wish You Were Here 50 La nueva versión de ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ ya está disponible en Sony Music Store

Pink Floyd presents ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond (pts. 1-9, New Stereo Mix)’. Originally recognized as an epic two-part work from their iconic album Wish You Were Here, this new version brings together the complete song for the first time as a single piece. Mixed in stereo by James Guthrie, the result is a monumental 25-minute work that will be part of the album's 50th-anniversary edition, available on December 12 in various formats, now available for pre-order.

‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ and the story of its creation have become legendary. Pink Floyd's tribute to their friend and former member, Syd Barrett, is a moving work; imbued with guilt, frustration, and sadness, not only for Syd's deteriorating health but also for the shortcomings of modern society. In one of the group's most emotional episodes, Syd appeared at Abbey Road Studios on the day of the track's final mixes, with none of the members recognizing him due to his changed appearance. To celebrate Barrett's legacy, comedian, actor, and artist Noel Fielding has created a series of original paintings inspired by his iconic image.

The 50th-anniversary edition of Wish You Were Here will be released on December 12 in various formats: Deluxe Box Set, 3 LP, 2 CD, yellow vinyl, Blu-ray, and digital. At the core of this special collection are new alternate versions and unreleased demos. The Deluxe Box Set includes the 2 CD, the 3 vinyl records in an exclusive transparent edition, the Blu-Ray, and also: a fourth transparent vinyl with the audio Live At Wembley 1974, a replica of the Japanese 7” single of Have A Cigar / Welcome To The Machine, a hardcover book with unreleased photographs, a comic book with the tour program, and the Knebworth concert poster. The digital edition contains the original 1975 album, a new Dolby Atmos mix by James Guthrie, and 25 bonus tracks comprising 9 studio rarities and 16 live recordings, captured 'bootleg' style at Pink Floyd's L.A. concert in 1975, now officially released for the first time. The live audio has been restored and remastered by Steven Wilson. The triple vinyl and 2 CD formats feature the original album and the nine unreleased studio rarities. The Blu-ray edition contains live footage from the 1975 tour and a short film by Storm Thorgerson.
