Perrie returns with her new single 'If He Wanted To He Would', a track accompanied by a striking music video that marks the beginning of a new solo chapter culminating in the release of her debut solo album, titled Perrie, on September 26.

'If He Wanted To He Would' is an euphoric and empowering pop anthem, written by Perrie alongside Nina Nesbitt and The Nocturns. With a live instrumentation sound and lyrics full of irony, the song explores the perspective of a friend observing a toxic relationship. The accompanying music video was filmed in a palace and includes nods to romantic comedies such as The Holiday, My Best Friend's Wedding, and Pretty Woman.

With this release, Perrie also announces her highly anticipated debut album. The album, Perrie, will showcase an eclectic journey through her musical influences — from rock'n'roll and Motown soul to country, disco, 80s music, and, of course, luminous pop — always united by the power of her voice. The project will include previous singles 'Forget About Us' and 'You Go Your Way', and reflects a more intimate creative process after a period of hiatus in which the artist sought to reconnect with her musical authenticity.

After more than a decade at the forefront of music as a member of one of the world's most successful girl bands, Little Mix, Perrie began her solo journey in 2024 with the hit 'Forget About Us', which reached the Top 10 in the UK and has over 51 million streams. At the end of 2024, she decided to pause and redefine her sound, working in her own home studio, "The La La Room", with a close team of collaborators. The result is an honest and autobiographical album, with which Perrie presents herself renewed and ready for a new stage of solo success.
