Paul Simon has announced the release of his long-awaited new musical, Seven Psalms . Conceived to be heard as a single piece , the 33-minute, seven-movement composition transcends the concept of an "album." It will be released on vinyl, CD and digital platforms on May 19.

Recorded entirely on acoustic instruments and performed mostly by Paul, Seven Psalms showcases Simon's artistry at its most captivating, simply with his voice and guitar. True to the origin of psalms as hymns meant to be sung and not spoken, Seven Psalms goes back to the very genesis of popular music: The Psalms of King David.

Produced by Paul Simon and Kyle Crusham, it goes a step beyond anything Paul Simon has released so far and defies categorization. The cover features a close-up of Two Owls , the work of celebrated landscape painter Thomas Moran.
