Maruja, la banda de Manchester, publican su album debut Pain To Power se lanza el 12 de septiembre en Sony Music Store

Maruja, the Manchester quartet that combines the working-class roots of jazz and post-punk with hardcore, releases their anticipated debut album: Pain To Power, on September 12.

Pain to Power not only confirms Maruja as a creative force but reveals a band deeply concerned with the power of community, solidarity, and love as forces for social and political change.

The album echoes this throughout its eight tracks, taking the listener from the frustration and anger of the opening tracks "Bloodsport" and "Look Down On Us" to the spirituality of "Zaytoun" and the striking closing track "Reconcile." This cycle of tragedy and hope is at the core of Pain to Power. "It starts brutally and becomes something powerful and expressive," says vocalist and songwriter Harry Wilkinson, "We have to trust in that circle of life and our power to overcome pain."

Their fierce combination of punk, harsh noise, and jazz is quickly making them one of the most exciting new bands on the scene. They have left fans of Black Midi, Black Country New Road, BadBadNotGood, Refused, At the Drive In, or Rage Against The Machine, among others, speechless. Later this year, they will take their unmissable live show on tour in the UK, Europe, China, Japan, and the United States. They will perform on December 5 in Madrid (Sala Copérnico) and on December 6 in Barcelona (Sala Apolo).
