This single is an experimental bachata that adapts perfectly to her style, becoming the third and final preview of her upcoming album.
In this album, the artist from Cordoba reclaims the concept of play as a path to liberation, as a tool to reconnect with the inner child and shed inhibitions. Under this premise, "El juego" (The Game), María José Llergo's new album, is born—a work in which she explores styles and stereotypes without limits to construct an dreamlike and irrational sound universe.
The third major preview of this new phase is "Otros besos" (Other Kisses), a track that marks Llergo's third album project. In it, the artist delves into the codes of bachata to transform them into an experimental proposal of sophisticated musical exoticism, reaffirming her constant artistic quest. María José explains that she wanted to create this track imagining that a bachata had been born in the time of Al-Andalus, and from this premise arose the choice of instruments and sounds.
''El juego'', which will be released on May 22nd, will be available in vinyl and digital formats for those who want to enjoy it in the most traditional ways. People who pre-save will receive an exclusive poster inside the album. This release comes two and a half years after "Ultrabelleza," the album with which the artist achieved national and international recognition. Now, María José allows herself to play with her sound and aesthetic, creating a mature and cohesive project.
"Otros besos" joins the previous previews, "Mala mía" and "Olvídame," two pieces that already anticipated the innovative nature of this new work. Together, these tracks reveal a sonic evolution that, while introducing registers little explored until now in her career, consolidates Llergo's artistic identity, her versatility, and her ability to reinvent herself. These three previews function almost as a trilogy that tells the stages of falling in love: after the pain of "Mala Mía" and the liberation and celebration of "Olvídame," this bachata represents the moment to turn the page and lose respect for fear, allowing space for true and unconditional love in all its forms and representations.
“Now I just do my own thing, long live the star that guides me. I live counting money, long live the cash register, diamonds even in my teeth, even if I don't laugh anymore, to buy my mother another house,” Llergo sings in "Otros besos." The track is accompanied by a visualizer in which the artist rejects the myth of romantic love and chooses the
true love that exists in the everydayness of her life. Furthermore, she surrounds herself with an exaggerated and provocative aesthetic that reinforces the playful, yet profoundly adult, dimension of the project.
