Granada, February 8, 2025: La Tania, Yerai Cortés, and Antón Álvarez – C.Tangana – have conquered the night at the Goya Awards 2025 with their victory in the category of "Best Original Song" for "Los Almendros," the song that closes the moving and acclaimed documentary film "La Guitarra Flamenca de Yerai Cortés." Furthermore, the film itself won the award for "Best Documentary Film," consolidating the artistic and cultural impact of this ambitious project.

The ceremony, held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Granada, witnessed the emotion when, in the fourth award presentation of the night, La Tania, Yerai Cortés, and C.Tangana took the stage as winners of "Best Original Song" for "Los Almendros," a composition that fuses the purest essence of flamenco with a contemporary sensibility that has won over critics, academics, and audiences. Amidst the joy of the presenters – Jorge Drexler alongside Eva de Amaral – La Tania, already described as the new artist who will be much talked about, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Yerai Cortés and C.Tangana (composers), to her fellow nominees, to the public… with a "Gracias a la vida" (Thanks to life), upon receiving the award.

For its part, "La Guitarra Flamenca de Yerai Cortés" has been recognized as “Best Documentary Film” of the year, a visual and auditory testament to the art of the man of the moment, the Alicante guitarist, and his life and musical journey. Under the direction of C. Tangana and with Little Spain producing – which was already nominated for the same award last year for the Documentary “Esta Ambición Desmedida” – the film has captivated the jury with its sincere narrative and the richness of its visual and musical proposal. With the story of a family, its secrets, and the generosity of its protagonists in telling it to us through their guitar.

"This is a film about understanding and forgiveness. I don't know about you, but I make mistakes constantly, I have to apologize constantly, and I believe you do too. Let's be understanding and forgive, and let people make mistakes, because the bigger the mistake, the more we need the forgiveness of others."

Antón Álvarez, C. Tangana, declared from the stage to a round of applause, giving way to Yerai Cortés, whose dedication "To the person I carry in my blood, in my hands, and for whom this film was made, the impulse to tell their story and rewrite it" moved the audience.

The documentary features video clips such as LA PLAZA ARGEL, already available on platforms. An iconic work on this occasion alongside La Tana, but also featuring collaborations with big names like Remedios Amaya, Israel Fernández, and Farruquito, interwoven with testimonials from his family and his story. A narrative that unfolds through 14 masterful guitar pieces, including the emotional "Los Almendros," the gem that shines with La Tania at the close of the documentary, shared on both artists' albums: "AMORIOS. LA VERDAD DE MI COPLILLA" by La Tania and "La Guitarra Flamenca de Yerai Cortés" by Yerai Cortés respectively, and which has been recognized with the Goya for "Best Original Song."

Yerai Cortés belongs to the new generation of artists who are taking flamenco to unprecedented and exciting territories. Despite his youth, the guitarist and composer has forged a solid and versatile career that has led him to collaborate with renowned artists. This album "La Guitarra Flamenca de Yerai Cortés" and the eponymous film mark the beginning of a stage full of emotion and artistic rawness, where music and the guitarist's personal story intertwine in a moving way.

At the same time, the show "Guitarra Coral," which accompanies this release live, reinforces the transcendence of "La Guitarra Flamenca de Yerai Cortés," where, surrounded by his group of "palmeras" (flamenco singers and dancers), he is able to expand the limits of flamenco, fusing the classical with the innovative in a vibrant and captivating way.

La Tania, who is here to stay with a meteoric rise in just 6 months since her collaboration on "Por Qué Será" alongside Rita Payés where her voice's sweetness was discovered, until becoming the winner of "Best Original Song" at the Goya Awards 2025 for "Los Almendros." She becomes one of the most promising artists in music, revealing a unique LP composed of 8 magnetic works full of experiences, secrets, and passion. An album that draws from copla, her interpretation, and today's sounds, created in close collaboration with great artists such as C. Tangana, Yerai Cortés, and Nussar3000. AMORIOS. LA VERDAD DE MI COPLILLA thus brings new Spanish song to the forefront.

Two artists, Yerai Cortés and La Tania, shine at the 39th edition of these awards, not only to vindicate the value of flamenco tradition but also to forge a new path for its evolution in the 21st century. An exciting moment crowned by C. Tangana, whose statuettes for his documentary and his participation in both albums reflect the artist's global impact with works that transcend genres and connect with the deepest emotions of those who listen.
