Your Favorite Toy, the twelfth Foo Fighters album, is out now. It has been preceded over the past few months by advance singles: ‘Your Favorite Toy,’ the album’s title track, which The New York Times described as “back-to-basics garage rock, deployed in a storm of noisy guitars”; ‘Caught In The Echo’ described as a “thunderous opening track” (Associated Press); the “direct punch” (Revolver) of ‘Of All People’; and the “intense, trademark rock” (UPROXX) of ‘Asking For A Friend.’ All of them anticipating one of the band’s rawest and most powerful albums in years.
The release of Your Favorite Toy also coincides with the new music video for ‘Window,’ which takes the viewer on a journey of distanced voyeurism: the video stars Craig Parkinson as a window cleaner of a massive skyscraper, observing the different inhabitants of each floor while he is virtually invisible.
Recorded at home, the album ‘Your Favorite Toy’ was co-produced by Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, with engineering by Oliver Roman and mixing by Mark “Spike” Stent. Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin. This year they will perform live in our country on July 8, at the Mad Cool festival (Madrid).
