Bruce Springsteen today releases "Sunday Love", the final preview before the launch of Tracks II: The Lost Albums, the collection of seven new unreleased albums, which will be released on June 27 as a limited-edition box set with 9 vinyl records or 7 CDs. Additionally, Lost and Found: Selections From The Lost Albums, a selection of 20 tracks on double vinyl or CD, will also be released.
"Sunday Love" is a sample of what we will hear on the album 'Twilight Hours'. On this album, Springsteen explores the mid-century noir orchestral sound, a tribute to American pop standards. Written as a tandem with the album 'Western Stars' (2019), Springsteen himself describes this album as "romantic songs, lost in the city."
Tracks II: The Lost Albums completes chapters of Bruce Springsteen's extensive career recorded between 1983-2018. Springsteen had previously shared five previews out of the total of 83 songs from 'The Lost Albums': "Rain in the River" from the album 'Perfect World', "Blind Spot" taken from all the material that had not seen the light until now from the album 'Streets of Philadelphia Sessions'; "Faithless", from the eponymous album, a soundtrack for a film that was never made and described as 'Spiritual Western'; "Repo Man" from the album 'Somewhere North of Nashville' and "Adelita" from INYO, an album with richly woven border stories. Now, "Sunday Love" from the album 'Twilight Hours' joins this list as the last preview before the full project is released. In addition, the box set includes lo-fi explorations from the era between the legendary albums "Nebraska" and "Born in the U.S.A." in 'LA Garage Sessions '83'.
