Produced by Gianluca Buccellati (Lana Del Rey, Arlo Parks), What Happened To The Beach? is DECLAN MCKENNA's third studio album following 2020's Zeros.
The LP proposes an experience that plays between space and atmosphere, with much more casual songs. It includes the singles Sympathy and Nothing Works, in which MCKENNA confidently pursues a much looser and more refined sound than on his previous two LPs, inspired (in his own words) by Unknown Mortal Orchestra and St. VIncent.
