This orchestral version of his emblematic track "Poly," taken from his first work Transsiberian, is the final step of a journey. An itinerary that began in 2015 when he boarded the iconic Russian Trans-Siberian train equipped with his microphones and machines, to compose and record his first album during a 10,000 km journey from Moscow to Vladivostok.

He captured the inspiration and sounds of Bulgarian polyphony, combining notes from the past with sounds of the future, and creating an immemorial present.

Regarding the track, Thylacine says: "'Poly' is a track I composed on the Trans-Siberian railway, based on a recording of Bulgarian polyphony.
Since I didn't carry much equipment with me on the train, this track consists of rather simple elements, including a very synthetic "fake orchestral arrangement" made with a small midi keyboard on the train. I've already had the opportunity to perform several different versions during my concerts, but I always wanted to properly record the string parts with a real orchestra. When the project of performing with a symphony orchestra came up, it immediately topped the list of pieces to reinterpret.
For the accompanying video, I wanted to keep the idea of the journey, very present in the Transsiberian album, in its simplest version. Cécile Chabert, who directed the video, wrote a path that moves between the different protagonists of its symphonic performance according to each moment of the track, and the result is a combination of only two similar sequence shots, filmed during the dress rehearsal and the live show.''
