The Greatest Love follows the critically acclaimed and #1 selling album Californian Soil, released in 2021, which earned the band their second BRIT nomination for best British group. More than a decade after the trio first entered the industry, The Greatest Love is a celebration; the sound of a band leaving the past behind and realizing a new sense of freedom. The first single, "House", embodies London Grammar's new trajectory as lead singer Hannah Reid sings uncompromisingly: "This is my place, my house, my rules." Regarding the single, Hannah has stated: "'House' is about setting boundaries around yourself. When I reached my thirties, my mindset shifted, and I no longer felt like a victim of anything; everything was within my control. I thought that making music should be fun, and we're going to achieve that."
