The Gold Experience, released in 1995, was Prince's first full album credited to his symbol and was released at the most public and heated stage of his battle against the major label complex. With the word "SLAVE" written across one cheek, Prince shined on the opulent ballads "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" and "Gold" and the defiant single "[eye] Hate U." The album received widespread critical acclaim. Available on double LP black vinyl.
