System of a Down is the debut album by the band System of a Down, released in 1998. It features vocalist Serj Tankian, guitarist Daron Malakian, drummer John Dolmayan, and bassist Shavo Odadjian. The album achieved Gold status by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). It includes the singles "Sugar" and "Spiders". The album finished 1998 at position 124 on the Billboard chart.
