Víctor Manuel and his most memorable songs, in a symphonic concert, accompanied by the Asturias Principality Symphony Orchestra and the Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir, with up to 130 people on stage and under the direction of Joan Albert Amargós. With that recipe, it was recorded in September 2022 at the Teatro de La Laboral in Gijón, devoted to his repertoire for three consecutive days. This May 10, that unforgettable event becomes an album in the form of a double CD, also released in Dolby Atmos digital format.

“Solo pienso en ti”, “Soy un corazón tendido al sol”, “El abuelo Vítor” and a selection of traditional Asturian songs were part of a repertoire with a huge prominence of his homeland: songs that exude the essence of his land, with references to shepherds, kids, coal, the Santina or towns like Gijón, Laviana or his hometown, Mieres.

“I have the impression that I sing better now than 30 years ago; experience has given me some things, although it’s also true that age has taken others away,” the singer-songwriter assured when he decided to embark on this adventure with the Asturias Principality Symphony Orchestra and the Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir. Now, those who could not attend will have an opportunity to experience those sensations with this double CD, with arrangements by Amargós, Josep M. Durán, Enric Palomar, Lluis Vidal, and David San José.
