Room on Fire is the second album by the band The Strokes. Room on Fire maintains the sound of Is This It, their first album, but shows more nuances, more diverse production, and backing vocals. Critics defined it as a more "electronic" work than the first, but one that returned to familiar ground from time to time. That is, they were more original, but they didn't dare, or didn't want to, completely take off.
