BERTÍN OSBORNE RETURN TO MEXICAN FOLKLORE WITH 'RANCHERO'.
Bertín Osborne returns in the key in which he works best: Mexican folklore. And he does it with an album that is a declaration of intentions from its very title: Ranchero. The work, which will be on the streets on December 8, is a compilation of classics signed by greats of the genre, such as José Alfredo Jiménez or Isidro Coronel, to which he adds some truly surprising adaptations.
From I hope it goes well for you to La bikina, passing through Acá entre nos or The corrido of the white horse. All of this is part of Ranchero with Bertín's great voice as the common thread, a voice that seems born for the popular style of music made in Mexico.
It will be the Andalusian artist's seventh ranchera album, after returning to the genre in 2018 with Yo debí enamorme de tu madre. This time with a handful of classics (one of them, double: P'a all the year and I'm going to lose my head) by authors such as Martín Uriel, Manuel Alejandro with Ana Magdalena and Rubén Fuentes, in addition to those mentioned. The repertoire includes Me va a vivira, a song by Giancarlo Bigazzi and Umberto Tozzi adapted by Ricardo Montaner, and a new ranchero version of Busca una Friend, the song by Antonello Venditti that Bertín himself adapted in 1985.
In short, a great collection of songs to enjoy the most Mexican Bertín Osborne.
