8-Tracks brings together eight essential Pink Floyd songs from their 1971-1979 period. The repertoire includes classics such as 'Money', 'Wish You Were Here', 'Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)', 'Time' and 'Comfortably Numb', along with tracks such as 'One Of These Days' and 'Wot's... Uh The Deal', plus a full version of 'Pigs On The Wing', previously only available in the 8-track format of Animals (1977). The sequence has been edited by Steven Wilson to offer continuous listening.

This release covers one of the band's most important periods, coinciding with their consolidation throughout the 70s, with albums such as Meddle, The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall.
