Jonas Kaufmann sings the title role in the new live recording of Wagner's Parsifal, from the Vienna State Opera's celebrated 2021 production, under the direction of Philippe Jordan, with the announced debut of Elīna Garanča as Kundry, Georg Zeppenfeld as Gurnemanz, Ludovic Tézier as Amfortas and Wolfgang Koch as Klingsor. The press response after the premiere was unanimous: "A sensational cast" (Der Standard), and "A luxury ensemble performance" (Die Zeit).

Sony Classical will publish the complete opera on March 1, 2024 in a deluxe hardcover book that includes 4 CDs and a 284-page booklet in German, English and French, with numerous photos of director Kirill Serebrennikov's stunning production.
