Neon Pill is the highly anticipated new album from Cage The Elephant, and the band’s first release since their 2019 GRAMMY-winning Best Rock Album, Social Cues. Cage The Elephant is comprised of brothers Matthew Shultz (vocals) and Brad Shultz (rhythm guitar) alongside Daniel Tichenor (bass), Jared Champion (drums), Nick Bockrath (lead guitar), and Matthan Minster (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals).

Produced by John Hill, Neon Pill materialized during sessions at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Electric Lady in New York, Sound Emporium in Nashville, Echo Mountain in North Carolina, and Hill’s own studio in Los Angeles, chronicling a season of tragedy and turbulence across its twelve tracks. Within nine months of the pandemic, Matthew and Brad lost their father. The band endured the passing of several friends, while Matthew wrestled with depression and a mental breakdown that culminated in his hospitalization. Emerging from the crisis, he learned much about himself and gained a great deal of strength and wisdom. Neon Pill was born in the eye of the storm.
