A folk agitator and total artist, Rodrigo Cuevas (Oviedo, 1985) has an academic
musical background: intermediate piano degree, tuba studies at the Oviedo
Conservatory, and three courses in Sonology in Barcelona.

Rodrigo Cuevas enjoys approaching traditional songs with other genres, bringing
electronic music into conversation with humor, sensuality, or social critique,
transforming his shows into a unique cultural and sensory experience.

In recent years, his figure has gained recognition from the media, the profession as
a whole, the administration, and universities. Among the awards he has received, we
highlight the Pluma Award granted by FELGTBI and the La Barraca Award by UIMP,
both in 2025, in addition to being a finalist in 2025 in 2 categories at the Music Awards
and in four others in 2024, and having won the National Award for Current Music in
2023, the Arcoíris Award 2022 from the Ministry of Equality, the RNE Ojo Crítico
Award 2021 for Modern Music, the MIN Award 2020 for "Revelation Artist" and
"Best Fusion and World Music Album," and the Premiu Camaretá for the best song in
Asturian for his composition Rambalín.
