Launch April 12, 2024

Double Vinyl Edition foldout cover, includes 20-page booklet

Manic Street Preachers release the 20th anniversary edition of their seventh studio album Lifeblood on April 12, 2024. As with other Manics reissues, the new release includes many remastered songs, b-sides, demos and outtakes, new liner notes, John Harris and unpublished photos of Mitch Ikeda. The release includes two new remixes of the title track '1985' by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and his collaborator Gwenno appearing on CD and digital versions.

Described by Nicky Wire as "our most alienated album", the album came at a time when the band was reflecting on what they were and what they could become. Wire commented: "The main lyrical themes are death, loneliness and ghosts. Being haunted by history and being haunted by your own past." James Dean Bradfield commented "I loved making Lifeblood, because it was interesting. I loved pursuing these other versions of what we were trying to do."
