Description
Released in 1981
La Mandrágora is the first album by Spanish singer-songwriters Joaquín Sabina, Javier Krahe, and Alberto Pérez, accompanied by guitarist Antonio Sánchez, recorded live. At that time, the three singer-songwriters performed together in the basement of the Madrid bar of the same name, located on Cava Baja in the La Latina neighborhood.
Far from a super-production with refined sound, we find an album recorded in a bar with the typical bar atmosphere: people laughing, murmurs, a whiskey glass falling; in some way making the listener a participant in the situation, seeking a more genuine sound by replicating the live atmosphere on the record.
