'La canción de nuestra vida' is Ismael Serrano's latest work. The verses of the songs in 'La canción de nuestra vida' celebrate the present, despite uncertainties, and speak to the challenge of growing up, inviting us to come to terms with the passage of time. "We are beautiful because we are real," says one of the songs.

The new tracks invite us to reclaim our time, even if others insist on hijacking our clocks; they call us to flee defeatism and to make plans to make the world a better place. They also speak of love, avoiding clichés and the need to overcome resentments ("We are now the age of the future," says a stanza).

In Serrano's words: "Life without music is an et cetera, a boring inventory of black-and-white anecdotes, a boat trip with rough seas in a cabin with no outside view. Music rescues us, and the singer-songwriter's endeavor is to find that song that will become a companion in our lives, to save us from sorrow in difficult times, to celebrate encounters, to cope with goodbyes, to remember the time when we were eternal, to celebrate what we shared. A life without music is a lost life."
