Originally released in April 1997, First Rays Of The New Rising Sun was the first album compiled under the direct supervision of the Hendrix family. Bringing together seventeen songs whose creation spanned from March 1968 to Jimi's final sessions at Electric Lady Studios in August 1970, the album marked the innovative artist Jimi Hendrix's last graceful gesture.

Includes "Dolly Dagger," "Angel," "Ezy Rider," and "Freedom." This release is an all-analog reissue mastered from the original 1/4" mixes by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 140-gram black vinyl.
