Thirty years leading Los Planetas, and in 2023, his first solo LP, Plena Pausa. J chooses
to present his track anticipating “Natalia dice,” recorded with 107 Faunos, co-founders of the Laptra collective,
the Argentine record label that has spread the music of Él Mató a un Policía
Motorizado, among other bands. With this gesture, J, beyond sharing his spotlight to
explicitly state his affinity with both bands, champions them as fundamental pieces in contemporary
Spanish-language underground music.
107 Faunos respond by releasing "Aeronostalgia" in collaboration with J, as the third advance of
their most recent album, Vandalismo Controlado, thus strengthening their fruitful transatlantic alliance.
The upcoming release of a shared single further tightens the bond between the granadino and the
platenses. The album brings together "Aeronostalgia" with an unreleased track recorded during the Plena
Pausa sessions, "Dueña," a vigorous Spanish revision of "Mistress," an emblematic track from the first LP of
the North American band Red House Painters, released in 1993 by 4AD
