Global superstar Rauw Alejandro, a 2x Latin GRAMMY® winner and 4x GRAMMY® nominee, shares his new single and video for “GuabanSexxx,” the latest preview of his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0.
The new track, inspired by Guabancex, the Taíno goddess of storms and chaos, blends House, Bomba, and Plena in a perfect mix of the sensual and the ancestral. Rauw hinted at the release last Sunday during his surprise appearance at Bad Bunny’s residency in Puerto Rico, when he appeared with an umbrella in reference to the Caribbean deity. His attire also paid homage to the upcoming album Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0, with a custom Herman Nadal T-shirt featuring a zero on the back, a headpiece also designed by Nadal, and exclusive Willy Chavarría pants.
A modern tribute to Afro-Caribbean rhythms and Puerto Rican bomba, ‘Capítulo 0’ is the origin story of ‘Cosa Nuestra’, paying tribute to the Caribbean in an eternal journey of rhythms, blood, and memory. ‘Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo Zero’ is the official prequel to his previous album ‘Cosa Nuestra’, which this morning became a finalist for the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards in the category Top Latin Album of the Year and debuted at #1 on the Latin Albums Chart, #6 on the Billboard 200, and made history as the first Latin album to place 15 tracks on the Spotify Global Top 200. In total, Rauw is a finalist for 14 Billboard Latin Music Awards, including Artist and Tour of the Year, making him one of the most nominated artists.
Before today’s premiere, Rauw had already shared two previews from ‘Capítulo 0’. The most recent, the intense and “toxic” “Buenos Términos,” where he sings about a sensual, stormy relationship that is hard to leave behind. The music video, directed by Martin Seipel and El Zorro, blends stylistic references to Afro-Caribbean culture with a cinematic atmosphere, opening with Rauw on the roof of a house in the middle of a storm, alternating scenes with his partner and dance sequences that highlight his strength as a singer, actor, and dancer.
Rauw kicked off this new era with the neo-bomba hit “Carita Linda,” a tribute to his Puerto Rican heritage and ancestors, which quickly became his twelfth number one, topping the Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts. The song was released on the first night of the Cosa Nuestra World Tour in Seattle and went viral on social media. The video is a love letter to the Enchanted Island, highlighting Puerto Rico’s rich cultural heritage, with symbols like the iconic vejigantes and Afro-Boricua traditions, as well as scenes from his upbringing in Carolina, Loíza, and Canóvanas.
Last week, Rauw was honored with the 2025 Hispanic Heritage Award for Vision from the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, in recognition of his innovative contributions to Latin music and his global impact. During his emotional speech at the gala in Washington D.C., Rauw dedicated the award to the entire Hispanic community in the United States:
“I am the child of a cross-cultural blend, and what a great blessing to carry that mix in my blood, because it guides my art and my path,” the singer said. “Like me, all of you who listen also share this mix in your blood. Your great-grandparents came from different parts of the world seeking a home and together they built the nation we share today. Let’s not forget that we are the fruit of that great effort. We were children who saw others lead; today we have the responsibility to continue their legacy: to fight for justice instead of war, to seek unity in diversity, and to protect what they left us with such sacrifice. Grateful from the bottom of my heart for this recognition, but this award is for all Hispanics: those mothers and fathers, those grandparents who fight every day to support their families; for the visionaries who left their mark, and for all Latinos who continue to create extraordinary things. Proud to be Puerto Rican, to have been born in the Caribbean: This is Cosa Nuestra! I love you all.”
Praised by Rolling Stone as “Latin music’s greatest showman,” Rauw’s global power is undeniable. Fans have packed arenas across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Europe on the Cosa Nuestra World Tour, always dressed to match in striped suits and glamorous outfits during the shows. With dozens of positive reviews from media outlets like Billboard, Rolling Stone, Clash, El Mundo and more, anticipation for the Latin American leg of this unique tour is at an all-time high. Aires, São Paulo, Bogotá, Monterrey, Mexico City, and Guadalajara.

Billboard called it “one of reggaeton-pop’s most eclectic albums.” In 2023, Rauw released his fourth studio album, Playa Saturno. This 14-track “spinoff” of Saturno included collaborations with Jowell y Randy, Miguel Bosé, and Junior H.
