Guitarricadelafuente has been awarded the Ondas Award for Musical Phenomenon of the Year, "for his ability to combine the intimate with the universal." The award was announced this Tuesday afternoon by journalist Iñaki Gabilondo, who was in charge of revealing the winners of awards that in 2025 will celebrate their 72nd edition. The awards ceremony will be held on November 26 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.

Guitarrica, who shares the award ex aequo with Valeria Castro, released his second album this 2025, Spanish Leather, a work that has gone Gold and includes hits such as Babieca! and Full time papi. Released in May, it has led to a national tour with more than 20 dates, with tickets selling out at the vast majority of his shows, as happened in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Bilbao, and Valencia.
