Joaquín Sabina Immortalizes His Farewell in "Hola y Adiós": A Double Live Album of His Last Concert
Joaquín Sabina inmortaliza su despedida en “Hola y Adiós” : Un doble álbum en directo de su último concierto

November 30 was a historic day for Joaquín Sabina and his fans. That day, he brought the 'Hola y Adiós' tour to an end at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, concluding more than 50 years on stage. On May 1, that performance is being released under the same title as a double live album, putting the finishing touch on a career that has established him as one of the essential voices of Spanish music in recent decades.

“This concert in Madrid is the last of my life and therefore the most important. The one I will remember with the most emotion in a few years,” he declared that night to the 12,000 people who filled the Madrid arena. From now on, that memory is unlocked with a work available in digital, CD, and vinyl formats, featuring 20 songs and almost two hours of that historic performance.

With his “Hola y Adiós” tour, Joaquín Sabina offered his fans the chance to bid farewell to songs that will never again be sung to thousands of people by their author, who was retiring his globetrotting, guitar-wielding persona. All of them are anthems still too young for the eternity that awaits them, and so much a part of us that they no longer seem to come from a singer-songwriter, but from the very wellsprings of popular tradition, resisting the passage of successive generations.

The tour kicked off in February 2025 in America, continued through Spain and Europe, and concluded on November 30, 2025, in Madrid, with the concert captured in 'Hola y adiós'. It was an emotional catharsis that Sabina closed with words as simple as they were definitive: “This is the last concert of my life. Eternal thanks.”
